NO BUT THIS SCENE AND THIS WHOLE EPISODE WAS FUCKING GOOD. BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH YOU COULDN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT PIKACHU AND DEDENNE WERE SAYING TO EACH OTHER THROUGH LIKE HALF THE EPISODE, YOU COULD STILL UNDERSTAND THE EMOTIONS INVOLVED. LOOK AT DEDENNE. DEDENNE IS FUCKING DISTRAUGHT AND CRYING. PIKACHU IS CLEARLY SHOCKED BUT TAKES CHARGE OF THE SITUATION ANYWAY JUST LIKE HE’S TAKEN CHARGE OF SO MANY SITUATIONS IN XY ALREADY. IT’S BECAUSE OF SUBTLE ANIMATION QUIRKS LIKE THIS THAT YOU START TO UNDERSTAND PIKACHU AS A CHARACTER. HE DOESN’T JUST TRUST IN ASH BUT HE TRUSTS IN HIMSELF TO DO THE RIGHT THING IN DELICATE SITUATIONS. HE CHASES AFTER DEDENNE IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT HESITATION AFTER THIS HAPPENS.

I JUST LOVE HOW IN XY YOU GET A GRASP OF PIKACHU’S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND HIS TRUST IN ASH AND HIMSELF. PIKACHU *IS* A SUPER EXPERIENCED POKéMON. AND IT’S NOT NECESSARILY PORTRAYED AS SOMETHING THAT ALLOWS HIM TO BEAT EVERYONE IN ONE HIT LIKE IN THE GAMES, BECAUSE THE ANIME ISN’T THE GAMES, BUT IT’S PORTRAYED AS SOMETHING THAT HAS EFFECTS ON HIS PERSONALITY AND DEVELOPMENT.

I *PUNCHES A HOLE IN A MOUNTAIN*

LOVE *BUILDS A CITY IN THE MOUNTAIN*

PIKACHU!!!!!! *FLIES THE MOUNTAIN OFF INTO SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!*

because i love doing these things- gom sorted into hogwarts houses w/rationale

Kuroko – HUFFLEPUFF. seriously, hufflepuff is such a good fit for him. He’s hardworking, determined, values teamwork, blunt, and wiling to stand up for what he believes in.

Akashi- Slytherin. Akashi values leadership and seems to follow ‘the ends justify the means’ way of thinking. Also rather dramatic. Akashi also seems to be rather ambitious while still keeping his ‘i win at everything viewpoint.’

Kise- Ravenclaw. Kise was harder to place but he’s dramatic, socially intelligent (always angry when people show Kise as being dense- he’s shown to be really smart in dealing with people, not so much in other areas), puts a lot of value on social relationships/getting along with others. He’s also energetic. In the end I decided Ravenclaw.

Momoi- Gryffindor. Momoi is extremely gifted in analyzing things. She’s also shown to be very caring and loyal. She also seems to have a good work ethic too, at least in how she badgers Aomine about skipping practice. I could also put her in Ravenclaw but I feel like she values her relationships more than her analytical thinking so I put her in Gryffindor.

Aomine- Gryffindor. He’s lazy, competitive, can be a good friend, and he’s willing to put all he can in what he loves. He also shown to value those who keep on fighting even when they’ll lose over those who just give up.

Midorima- Hufflepuff. Midorima is prideful and is shown to value intelligence (at least schooling wise) but he is also shown to really value people’s work ethic (Even when he is no longer required to attend practices at Teiko he still goes and is annoyed when others skip). So in the end I decided to go with Hufflepuff.

Murasakibara- Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Lazy, unenthusiastic, gluttonous, childish, scorns those with belief in hard work. Murasakibara is also shown to be extremely smart basketball-wise but in not many other areas. He’s also shown to not have that great people skills either. He’s really the hardest for me to put because nothing screams out one thing or another at me. I could really see anything besides Hufflepuff to varying degrees.

Kagami- Gryffindor. Kagami is really competitive and loves playing with others. He’s also shown to really value his relationships (to the point that he unintentionally hurts them sometimes). He’s childish and excitable and believes in fighting fairly.
