It has been 2 years since Sato Ryuji’s 2nd photobook “Reach” was first released, and it has been announced that the photobook will be reprinted for a re-release! This will be the second time that the photobook has been reprinted.

“Mitsumete Kureru Nara” from the “Musical Touken Ranbu ~Kashuu Kiyomitsu Tanki Shutsujin 2017~″ (Toumyu) just kills me.
From the lyrics alone, you can imagine it. You, as a former saniwa, who, for whatever reason, no longer remembers your life as a saniwa or your Touken Danshi.
One day, you’re walking on the streets in modern day Japan, and then, somewhere, in the bus or on the train, over the counter or just when you’re reaching for the same thing on the shelf, your fingers brush against someone.
A young man.
You don’t know him, he’s a complete stranger. But when your eyes meet, you can see the recognition flood his eyes.
He knows you.
It feels like that fateful meeting triggers something new; time and time again, you cross paths with this young man.
And, every single time, he looks as lost and confused as you are, but he also always seems happy to see you.
Eventually, you give in, and during one of those meetings, you decide to introduce yourself.
“Hi, my name is [NAME]. What’s yours?”

His crimson eyes are genuine, serious, desperate, engraved with a deep longing that makes your heart ache.

people are dying – at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.
yesterday my country had 300 active fires.
people are losing EVERYTHING they own.
i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.
and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish.
i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” – you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.
but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

This is fucking important. I am glad someone fucking spoke about this and said what they had to say. The damage is terrible, and all the evergreen, stone, even the ground is black. I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. It didn’t go away for weeks.

I live in California and know all too well how horrific fires are. Just yesterday a town near mine, Ojai, has multiples fires in one day while it was 104°F/40°C, not only are the fires themselves damaging to propery but they’re damaging to people. A lot of these people will need help and need to relocate, and sadly most governments try to get away with doing the least amount they can get away with unless people throw a fit and bring awareness to the situation. Reblog if you can.
Yesterday (February 17, 2018), was the final day of the memorial event for Sato Ryuji’s 3rd photobook “Reception”. Three sessions were held in the Asahi Seimei Hall, Osaka, and each session was divided into two segments: a talk segment and a handshake segment. It was a sold out event in a venue with a capacity of 368 people (so the approximate total number of fans who attended the event would’ve been 1,104 fans).
It was also an event that caused quite a stir on Twitter amongst Ryuji’s fans because the fans attending the reported that Ryuji had fallen sick with a cold and food poisoning.
Things had seemed to be going fine for the first two sessions because despite looking visibly physically unwell, the boy was all smiles and in high spirits. However, by the third session, according to fan reports, his condition had taken a turn for the worse. He was reported to have taken medication for his illness, but by the end of the talk segment during the third session, it appeared that the effect of the medication had worn off.
Apparently, he was so pale that the fans were afraid that he would faint. During the short intervals where the staff were ushering the fans for the handshake event, fans spotted him supporting himself using the table with both hands (because he was standing) and occasionally turning back to try to hide his unstable breathing.
He looked so physically unwell that the fans present at the event were commenting on how they would have totally understood if the staff had decided to cancel the handshake segment at the last minute due to his health condition.
But the moment a fan was ushered to stand right before him, face-to-face, he was back to being all smiles and careful attention, making sure to talk to the fans properly and that he fulfilled their fan service requests. When fans asked him if he was okay, he just reassured them with a smile that he was fine. When fans told him not to push himself, his response? “Please let me push myself.” When fans expressed their concern and worry, he apologised, saying, “I’m sorry for making you worry.”
And, even though it would’ve been understandable if he sat down, Ryuji remained standing throughout the entire handshake segment.
In addition to that? Despite his ill health (and the fans being quite worried about him), everyone who attended the event still enjoyed themselves spending time with him because he (and the event emcee, Ishikawa Kento) made sure that everyone had a good time and that the fans were well taken care of.
So many fans reported that they were so touched by the level of professionalism and dedication Ryuji showed during the event that they couldn’t imagine quitting as a fan after the event. From reading the reports, I can see why.

OMG This. This so much!!! If only those fans who are bashing Zaiki because his relationship status changed from ‘Single’ to ‘Attached’ are able to understand this.
