The person who sent this should be grateful I hid their identity, so they don’t get harassed.
I have spent a lot of money on Voltage games. I own every route in KBTBB and OTBS, and then various routes in other games. I bought them with my own money. Do you know who is poor? Me. I’m a student without a constant income. I survive on my student loan, help from my parents, and occasional work.
But, I enjoy Voltage games, and so I budget my money.
Nothing in life is free. If you want nice things, then buy it. If you can’t afford it, then sacrifice other areas of your life to get it. Look at all the things you waste money on – Chocolate? Clothes? Coffee? If you truly wanted to play a voltage route, then you can go a day without chocolate. You don’t have to buy that jumper. Replace coffee with water.
For example, a main route costs the same as a latte at my university library, and the enjoyment from a game lasts a lot longer. I can play the route as many times as I want. Not only this, once you’ve played a route, it opens up the fandom: all the fanfictions make sense, and you appreciate the fan art. For your £2.50 ($3.99), you don’t just get the route: you get the fandom that comes with it.
I personally think that’s worth it.
Slay. This is important.

i did that adult thing you can do where you buy an entire cake and just eat it
i am eating an entire cake
update: there is more cake than i imagined.
i see now why my parents didn’t let me do this
never do this again
The trick to buying an entire cake and eating it is you don’t eat it all at once.
But, and this is crucial, not because someone else is controlling your portions. Because it’s your cake. Because you don’t have to worry that if you don’t finish it now, somebody will take the rest away. Because you can eat as much cake as you feel like eating and then stop, and the remaining cake will still be there when you want some more. Which may be in an hour or may be in a couple of days.
Own your cake. Cake responsibly.
How to cake
Do it.
